It has been a great plan...I use the internet to look up miscellaneous stuff, the GPS for directions via google, text when I want to and not worry about a thing....WELL, AT&T found out that I have a BlackJack II and decided that since it is a smart phone they need to charge me more. Um you know you are posting in a defunct carriers forum right? That means they are no longer in business. Get with the program and blame the new owners or AT&T Wireless AKA Cingular which purchased the marketing power of the AT&T name when they bought them. Also they probably charge you more because it is a more expensive phone so you should make more money to own it. After all the owners of your service provider have to pay for their caviar covered girls somehow......right?

Look, Smartphones use approx. 450 times more data than non-smartphones. why shouldn't people pay more for smartphones for data than non-smartphones?

Your on a smart phone which you yourself brought up the point that it uses more data than a non smart phone and yet you dont want to pay for that more data use. You my friend are the greedy one. Go to another carrier, please. Its people like you that make my day miserable.

They are all money hungry and greedy. There aren't any carriers that aren't. Money talks and they are making billions.
