Then and Now

When ATTWS came to town in August 2000, I was the third guy to sign up. The other choices were a company (which I had) that is now part of Alltel, one that is now part of Verizon, and Sprint. ATTWS beat them hands down. Coverage plans were fantastic. I took Regional Advantage, always had a signal, never had roaming in my area. New phones were always coming out with new features. PocketNet was around the corner. Fixed wireless on the horizon. Couldn't wait!

Fixed wireless is history. Likewise PocketNet. Likewise Regional Advantage -- can't even add minutes. And lately the TDMA network seems to be having problems. ATTWS blames my phone, but the forums out there indicate it's not just me. Still I'm OK with upgrading. To what? ...
