No wonder there are 2 hour hold times to get to customer service!! Shouldn't you people be answering the phones instead of posting all day!! DAMN 👿 👿

Not at work today....

It's the time of year. Heck, even on Dell's web site, they have posted: "WE ARE CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING HEAVY CALL VOLUME...."

It is going to be like this for ALL companies this time of year that provide customer service over the phone. We recommend that if your question can be handled online (i.e. payment, rate plan inquiries, etc) you will have a much better experience. I realize that not all problems can be resolved online and ask for your patience.

Thank you for CHOOSING AT&T Wireless.

I really really don't understand how people are getting hold times longer than 15 minutes... seriously, for all the times I call AWS CS i've never been on hold for longer than 15 minutes. In fact I calleed Jan 2 about an mMode issue and got through in like 2 minutes, literally... MIDDLE OF THE AFTERNOON TOO!

Maybe they just like me more. lol.

It baffles me as well. I can tell the number of calls in the care queue as well as the 3g queue in our call center and over the holidays the hold time was NEVER more than 20 minutes, and that was VERY rare.

Bottom line: IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR PEOPLE. LONG LINES, LONG HOLD TIMES ARE PART OF THE SEASON. Things will die down. If you HAVE to call, please call early in the morning, or later in the evening...or better yet...go online, if possible.

Lol we don't like you more mycool, ATT wireless is an equal oppertunity Cust. discriminator.

And you Batterysaver. The only reason you are on hold for 20 minutes when we are dead here in the center is that you are too brain dead to work the IVR system. 🤣

i dont know about everyone else but i dont think i would take the risk being caught in the forums at work and when i am at work i am actually working not on here. and really quit exaggerating the longest hold time i have heard was 45 min and that caller even admitted to exaggerating.

I was not exaggerating at all. I was on hold Saturday for 4 hours and 45 minutes. I took almost all of my day to handle a problem for a customer because the CS rep he spoke to was not good enough at their job to help him and like most of the time if the CS rep as no clue they say "go to the store and they will help you".

What was the problem you were trying to resolve? Regular customer care does NOT have a queue that long...even on Saturday. Maybe PAG...but not regular care. I talked to people at work today who work in GSM and TDMA care and they ALL stated that while they were busy, the queue was NOT that long at any time on Saturday.

Todays boards in the Edm centre were showing 321 customers in que max. Got a call. Chatting with the cust while bringing her acct up and she advised me she was only holding for 20 min. If you were waiting 4 hrs, you probably just dialed the wrong department and were waiting for the wrong group 😁 And even if it is 2min-4 hrs. Suck it up. Its a big company. Lots of CSR's. We are only human and everyone goes through it. You dont think when we call our companies we wait that long. I mean dont call on your way to work or your lunch break then scream at the CSR for the high levels and when you are yelling just more and more customers wait.
