I heard from a buddy of mine who still works at congergys that 200+ people walked out of the halifx center due to their reprefrencing, and the edmonton center is in the same position right now?

ha, did they get a knew dude to do the schedules there? doesn't seem to know what he'd doing. my buddy instead of starting at 8:30 now starts at 2 every day. and they tell him they can't fix it?

glad I got out of that hell hole while the going was still good.

Lets get 1 thing straight 99% of people get what they deserve when it comes to preferencing shifts. If your stats can't back up your starts then you should either suck it up or walk. The people who get bumped and then leave obviously didn't have great stats therefore making then VERY replaceable!!

well from what I heard the dude that does the schedules, transfered to a different center. and they got a new guy to do it. my buddy is wave 3 there, was his 2 years this week, and his stats are good.
and he got his 3rd preference.

looking like to me they threw tenure out the window.

first thing is tenure is only 20% of preference. 2nd thing is Halifax has been opened 6 years so either friend isn't wave 3 or has been there longer than 2 years.

you know having read that over, I would just like to say things don't always work out that way, when was still there, I came back from LOA (leave of absense) and not to my surprise my stats were not recorded for over 4 months. my passwords took 6 months to reset, i was using my TLs for the 6 months. in that 6 month period I was moved between 3 different teams. (all in total i was one 8 different teams in my 1 and a half years there) thats almost a new team every 2 months.
on top of that I didn't get my pay paise of a crappy 50 cents for 7 MONTHS. it was a lot of back pay on my pay stub. there's lots of crap that i had t...

Roam Dog...

I'm in Edmonton and haven't really heard much about issues with reprefencing...I've noticed a mass increase in shift-swap requests on the shift-swap board...though I've heard there are a few upset people regarding our re-preferencing.

If I remember correctly 85% got their first, second and third choice in our center. Heh!! I got my first choice and my Supervisor got his third....*lol*

They were hiring for Resolutions tho, and the window for applications was 48 hours!

yeah funny story about Edmonton's repreferencing. There was some teams that got their 4th choice. Not because of stats either. My team for example, 85% of my team got their 3rd or 4th shift. Because there was no correct way to match our stats.

how the dept that did the repref. did to find people's score.. well in edmonton anyways, they used everyone under TDMA stats. Even though nearly 1/4 of the centre is GSM, and gsm stats are entirely different than TDMA. Consider ACW is greatly higher, and ATT is alot longer ( I think it was 300 more seconds longer than TDMA )

my team got royally screw. Tenure/Quality made 55% of the choice, then attendance, tardy's and pco's. I know a guy who had really good quality, been there over a year, got in...

In halifax there are people who are wave 1 & 2 who got there 8th choice. I mean going from 7:45 am to 6:30 pm starts. Something definitely went wrong but none of the supervisors/MO's wants to admit it. There are a lot of pissed off reps though.

They switched my weekends...something they said they would never do unless we requested it. I have a feeling i'm going to be "sick" next sunday as i have a huge party i'm throwing on sat. Don't think it will go over well if at 10pm i tell everyone they have to go home because i have to get up early 😛

Although switching of the weekends is unusual and purely SUCKS!!! It's not something the company said they'd never do. I'm not sure who the "They" is you're referring to. I am however on your side with this. I'd complain like hell and see what can be done because there's no need of it!!!

I suppose that's true. Unfortunatly us reps on the floor don't get to talk to the company we only get to talk to our trainers and TLS and both of those have told me previously that you get to stay on your weekend rotation unless you request it changed. Your time may change but your weekend rotation doesn't...

Just because people are wave 1 or 2 and got 8th doesn't mean a thing. With Tenure being only 20% it means these people still have to earn their starts. Once agian, if your stats can't back up your starts then shut up or leave. Just because you been there 6 years doesn't mean you have the right to start whenever you want......DISCLAIMER: this doesn't pertain to everybody, just 99%, there's some people who've had legit reasons for bad stats and I'm aware this can happen.

I got to stay on my shift but business needs in a center this large that is open from 7:45-3:30 are demanding. Not enough reps want to work nights and therefore some people are forced out of their first choice. The problem is there has never been a repreferencing this "bad". Reps who thought they were completely safe were put to there 8th choice. I guess it just leaves a bad taste in your mouth to see this many unhappy people. It's left a lot of reps asking trick or treat. By the way, Happy Halloween everyone!

Im wave 2 in Edmonton. Im starting about 30 min later then i'd like but I got what i want. My brother wave 28 got his preference for the static shift, but just about 1 hr later then what he wanted. My PCO's suck but my quality and attendance are great.

heh...on the topic of weekends, I wish I had the opposite weekend from what I have...heh...I have the weekend BEFORE payday.....sometimes I wish I had the weekend after, but then Rationality sets in an I see that I would end up just partying my soul rented dollars away.

On the topic of re-preferencing.....apparently, or as I have heard by sitting over by the Duty Manager/After-Call Nazi in Edmonton, that all of the teams got ripped apart. There is 4 or 5 teams that have been sitting at 100% quality for the past month (by QC), that have been ripped apart and scattered throughout the center, many of which were perfectly content to stay where they were. Apparently several of the new TLs are schedule adherence Nazis.......one girl was complai...

That's ok. I've been feeding my TL time card adjustments because TKS has been down 3 out of 4 days this week. I'm sure TL's love all that extra paperwork.

Or the flux capacitor mainline...I can't tell you how many times I've seen the fusion cog go up in smoke because of that simple problem.
