I was out sick today and was curious to know if there was anything put out.

Cingular today announced that it has reached an agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice that will allow the company's proposed acquisition of AT&T Wireless to proceed on schedule. While the annoucement covers any antitrust concerns, the deal must also win approval from the FCC. The FCC has reportedly agreed on approval internally, and is expected to make an announcement by tomorrow. Cingular officials continue to expect the transaction to close later this quarter.

While all the bigger call centers are in training this week, our little center is getting 3x the call volume. For the next two weeks we're expected to keep the call volume, but they're taking out half the floor for training (Nov 😎 and the rest of us the week after. There's mandatory overtime and all that. I'm going to be working straight for two weeks. It's going to be soooo crazy for the next few months I think.
