I'm so bummed that I can't buy ATT's new Audiovox phone! My youngest son wants it, but you can't put it on a sharable plan! I never knew ATT does that with PDA phones. I don't want to buy an individual plan for him - no way. It was supposed to be his birthday present. Man, he's bummed! It's just too bad that ATT diesn't have a comaparable phone - small with camera and MP3 players. None are similar.

Yes, I am. I want to buy one, but I don't like dealing with Ebay, for some reason. I live in Atlanta, if anyone's selling one! I guess I could add a line using one of my old GSM phones, and then just switch the sim, if I find one to buy, right?

Any GSM reps want to help this customer. I've been able to verify that the smart phone isn't eligible for sharable offers but can't say one way or another if a SIM swap will work and if it will how it will effect her service. I'm sorry but I'm still TDMA. Maybe someone else out there can answer your question.

The SiM swap will definitely work. Just to mention, smart phones only work on 1900mhz, they don't have 850mhz.

But Remember 1 BIG HUGE THING!!!!!!!

The smart phone uses helluva lot of data usage so get yourself the mmode data pack 24.99

I've talked to many customers and their parents who have done the same thing and had Massive Data charges upwards of $2000-$8000 ,and then they'd call in saying sine we never informed us they shouldn't pay it cyuz we never informed them, and they get upset since we can't inform them since they are trying to get around the system and telling us!!!!

Remember a PDA device, like the audiovox,Treo and blackberry among others primary function is data and w...

You purchase the PDA phone you want and then call in and have the IMEI switched to one of your old phones and have that number added to your family plan then just put your SIM in the PDA and you are good to go for voice usage. The problem is going to lie in data. Mmode will not work on a PDA because that only allows WAP and the PDA's don't have a WAP browser. You need the mobile internet package...The problem is getting that added on to a regular phone package. If you tell them you "TETHER" your phone to your laptop for internet on that they should put it on for you. If you don't get Mobile Internet and you just get Mmode then you will be charged .03/kb while using the webbrowser on your PDA. Hope this helps

I've taken about 3 legite calls. Other 3 were just immediate dropped or dead airs. But I had this one guy who was drunk calling in. Got 2 other people in my center so far and has called overall today i'd say at least 20-30 times. And about 40 yesterday. Was a fun call 😁
