Is AT&T Wireless the worst customer service example or what!?

I was wondering if anyone has had the same terrible experience with ATT Wireless that I had. I ordered a phone over the Internet with the idea of switching to ATT from Verizon --mainly because I like ATT's selection of phones. Recieved the phone and found that there was NO signal at my house (Verizon phone sitting next to the ATT phone had five full bars of RF signal strength.

It took me 2 phone calls with each being on hold for nearly 45 minutes just to get to someone who could send me a shipping label so that I could send the phone back to ATT. With the time I spend on the phone, I could have driven the phone back to ATT... What a nightmare of customer service. 😢

Welcome to ATTWS. I switched to Verizon for those very reasons (no signal on GSM, and HORRIBLE Customer Service).

Cancel while you can.

First of all, in the past couple of years...attws actually has won the jd power award for customer service. #2 if you look in consumer reports, it actually has nextel as the worst customer service. #3 every company is going to have a few bad apples unfor. that's something that cannot be controlled unless every call is monitored.
#4 what didn't work for you might work for someone else! My mom goes thru attws, dad: verizon, and sister: cingular....so don't be giving me that crap that attws is bad just because it didn't work for you.

You might want to check this link out

and this one

It seems to me that Verizon Wireless receives an award in 5 of 6 regions and AT&T Wireless in only 1 region (the southwest).

You might want to read through all the posts on the AT&T Wireless forum and then through Verizon Wireless' forum. When the overwhelming majority on this forum is complaining of the service, it's no longer a few bad apples. They might be onto something. If you then want to see how posts read that come from happy customers, read VZW's forum.

I tend to agree with robbie0517. He makes a valid point. The only thing negative to be posted on the VZW forum is posted by employee's of other carriers. It seems that all of the other carrier forums seem to have customer complaints all over them.

You guys must not be reading the Verizon forum too closely then. I see post titled the arrogance of Verizon which is complaining, numerous complaints over the selections of phones they have, and other complaints posted within the past few days. Do you think that people cannot read? I went to the Verizon forum and checked because I thought you guys might have been on to something there. THANK YOU for being great lier's and wasting my time.

Well, I really wanna call you a COMPLETE idiot, but you only used JD Powers as a source and NOT Consumer Reports... be thankful you're only considered a half-idiot for quoting JD Powers.

The verizon forum would be filled with more complaints if some of my friends knew about phonescoop.

And also, to add to your unintelligent remark. You're trying to base the quality of a company on a FORUM that maybe about 20-30 people use at most. Where's the other millions posting their hatred? To top it off, the people posting might even be trolls who just wanna cause havoc... like... umm... YOURSELF!

C'mon, let's try to hear a SMART reply out of you on this one. 😉

Thank you so much for pointing out the I forgot about Consumer Reports. You might want to check out the most recent issue 😁

Now I can base the quality of a company on both JD Powers and Consumer reports. (more than just 20 people surveyed by the way)

Here's a little clip:

Consumer Reports Ranks Verizon Wireless No 1. Verizon Wireless came in number-one in all 12 of the major markets it surveyed: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington DC. The magazine said Verizon Wireless has consistently topped the magazine’s ratings, adding, “Verizon (Wireless)…was among the best at providing service and having circuits available. Customers who had a complai...

Oh my, you obviously didn't get the point of my message. Quoting bad sources doesn't make your arguement good. Is that simple enough to understand or would you like me to revert to more sarcasm?

No you fumbling idiot. I'm basing the quality of a company, not on uninformed people like yourself but on J.D. Powers and at your own suggestion, Consumer Reports.

Are you all there?? Can you not comprehend your own posts?

Please respond with at least a little intelligence.

Why is it so bad for someone to voice their disatisfaction about att?

Well I'm not against voicing disatisfaction.

Its proven fact that if someone has a good experience with something, they may tell one or two people. If they have a bad experience, they'll be sure to tell AT LEAST 10 people. Psycology of consumers works against the companies.

AT&T Wireless is the best in overall customer satisfaction
AT&T Wireless ranked #1 in total customer satisfaction among the top six nationwide wireless carriers according to The Yankee Group’s “2003 Mobile User Survey” . so there AWS customer service basher.your just pissed because either you wasted your time and got nothing or because you were proved wrong by a rep.so piss on you.

Ok so the JD Power award for customer service went to VZW. So your point is pointless, how good or bad customer service is rated is based on the opion of the person receiving the customer service. 😎

Truly something I finally agree on... it is all person-based. I love ATTWS, they have never done me wrong. EVER. But my friend hates em... I dislike Sprint service when I had it, my friend loves em... and so on.
