my contract runs out in jan, do I automacily go month to month? Is there any disadvantage to going month to month instead of having a contract?

Anyway, last i check, after 10 months, I get a small discount on a new phone from SunCom? Is that, 10 months within a contract? or does month to month count?

Basically, if I plan on staying with suncom, is there any advantage to having a contract? thanks!!
