Non-PTT v60 for Verizon?

by goofy_american    Dec 17, 2003, 3:46 PM

Happy Holidays!
I am getting ready to port my Sprint PCS number to Verizon. My goal is to cut the cord on my home wired phone and go completely wireless.

To accomplish this, I want to get one of the Cellsocket's (www.cellsocket.com) so that I can use my home phones via the cell. Currently, the Cellsocket is only available for Motorola and Nokia phones. It appears that the Nokia models that Verizon offers are not compatible with the Cellsocket so I'm looking at the Motorola phones instead.

The T720 and T730 work with the CellSocket but you lose the capability of using Call waiting and the ability to check your v-mail. The V60 is the only phone that has all the capabilities.

The problem is that Verizon will ONLY sell the phone to a client who includes the Push-to-Talk (PTT) feature on the phone.

I've heard some rumors about another Motorola v60 model which will not include the PTT feature.

Does anyone know what this model is called and when it may be available?

Thanks!
