Why does verizon insist on being behind the times on the actual handsets? All i want is a small phone that has good reception. What i really would like is the Audiovox 8600 non color but made by a reliable company. I will take the color and the camera and even the push to talk if they could just get w/ the times and get a good attractive phone! Does anyone have any idea if there are any extra small phones in the pipline???? 🙄

Audiovox is a reliable company. All I have used is Audiovox. We have a new Nokia that just came out. Check our Website. It is the Nokia 2285. Also what brand of phone do you want?

All i want is a clam shell phone that is smaller than what i have now (LGTM510) and just as good battery life. The 8600 would be perfect if it was not made by audiovox/Hundyai.

I really liked that one, however the battery life isnt that great, and the newer version on the website doesnt come w/ the extended battery and worst of all it is not tri-mode. Not that i use analog often or at all, but lets face it why would you make a phone dual mode instead of just making it trimode? Really doesnt make sense to me.

The reason we now are making All digital phones is we are converting our entire network to digital. Soon analog will be an after thought and no longer used. As far as battery life you really can not go by what the manufacturer says. Each phone will respond differently to different conditions. They get those specs in lab conditions. Alomst any color phone right now will not have the best battery life. I personally have a car charger and a home charger so I really have no complaints about the battery life. And I use the Audiovox9500

I heard those same arguments five years ago when i had sprint.....Analog will be an afterthought.....now we hear them again. I can put that up there w/ HDTV will be 100% complete in the next 3 years.

I may look into the samsung. Not sold on it so may wait to see if verizon can put out something worth spending the money on.

Analog is just not benifical to either the customer or the carrier. It does not have the space digital has and reduces the battery life to almost nothing. It will happen. When we took over shentel cellular in the Winchester VA area they were all analog we have not coverted 75% of that area to digital. The only areas where you will find analog is the really rural areas.

I agree. Some smaller cell phone Provider have way better phones than Verizon. I think Verizon Needs to step it up with technology. It's a shame that Verizon only has two camera phones. Sprint and T-Mobile is like on their 10th camera phone - probably way more than that. The only reason people are not going with Verizon Wireless is because the phones suck. Verizoon is letting Sprint, T-Mobile and other companies take away potential costumers. Verizon has the best service with ****ty phones.

Also another question. Why can't Verizon Just get all of their phones to be capable of being on Analog. You can't go on a road trip with out worry about if VW has any digital coverage their. Analog is good for backup because VW still have alot of s...

Good lord what is it with analog??? Analog SUCKS! Verizon has VERY limited analog service now. And it it will soon all be overlayed with digital. Forget the stinken analog. The only reason Sprint offers phones with analog is so that you can roam off thier network and get charged 50 cents per minute...

Crap, anytime I have ever been in an analog area, the signal was so crappy I couldn't even place a call have the time..
