Just got off the phone with a customer that had done a port out to verizon from ATTWS, the customer had service with Verizon for a week and decided that attws customer care and service was way better! She could not believe the people that worked for verizon and how incompetent they were. She ported back to attws and said she would never go back to verizon! π€£

I am glad this isn't the public perception. If it was Verizon wouldn't be the number one carrier and the leader in port in's! π
But they are!
...
Yeah, well just becuz ONE person at VZW caused a bad experience for a customer doesn't mean they all do... But I bet the ports away from ATTWS again for the same reason she ported out the first place.. ATTWS so far is loosing the battle in in porting customers, they have lost more customer than any other company. Verizon and Nextel have gained the most. T-Mobile and Sprint PCS stand to break even, and Cingular is right thier along with ATTWS in loosing the most customers.. ATTWS SUX! I hope they go under, or get Bought out.
...
No, but rumor has it that AT&TWS & T-Mobile are merging, at least it is the rumor here in Ohio.
...
Ok I can tell you guys are not the smartest thing going, you might want to look up the definition for a company merger and then look up buyout. You may be surprised!
have a great day !!
...
I said I hope they either go under or get bought out, I could care less about a merger.
...
List me where you found this information, and I might belvie it. I work at AT&T Wireless, we've been keeping up with our retention quotas so far, no word from the big wigs of any massive losses. *snicker* Give some meat to your claims. ;)

I didn't post it to reflect all that, I could care lest about ARP.. I posted it to dude responce that i post the article saying Nextel and Verizon were ahead on LNP, and that AT&T was coming in last.. There was a small paragraph in that article saying that.

All I am saying is that the all power and mighty Verizon is not perfect like you all seem to think. and hey don't think I am saying attws is any better, I think wireless phones are crap as well as all the carriers and customer service.
...
I'm not saying they are perfect either, I said their is a story linking who has been coming out on top so far and that was Verizon and Nextle. Sprint and T-Mobile are breaking even, and Cingular and AT&T are loosing more than they are gaining.
...
so i think i found the oldest troll thread on the forum. but i like the statement that i replied to. who would have thought that the 2nd suckiest company in his statement bought the suckiest.

And didn't ATT just get their hand slapped by the FCC for taking so long on their ports?? Where's the customer service in that?

you need to check you facts!
from www.fcc.gov site
The six carriers most frequently mentioned in the complaints are: AT&T Wireless (332 complaints); Verizon Wireless (129); Cingular Wireless (9π; Sprint PCS (94); Nextel Communications, Inc. (46) and T-Mobile USA, Inc. (44). The Commission receives many complaints that do not involve violations of a Commission rule or order. Therefore, the receipt of these complaints does not necessarily indicate any wrongdoing by any of the companies involved. Further analysis is required to determine what, if any, violations occurred. In addition, these statistics do not reflect the number of complaints against a particular carrier relative to the number of porting requests made to the c

Keep in mind too.. Verizon's Ports have been going pretty well, *I* think most of the complaints against Verizon are really about having problems porting in to Verizon becuz of problems from thier previous carrier..(cough, cough, AT&T cough, cough)
...
There you go. You got it on the money. The reason why most are complaining is because the ports are not going as smoothly as anticipated, mainly because the original service provider is not releasing the numbers easily. We just had one person who ported out to ATT and had it for a short time and came in to port their number back b/c the service sucks according to them. This is just one person's opinion and does not merit any consideration but it's just an example of what's going on. Most of the ports that I've dealt with were from ATT. Now, the ports are going more smoothly since in comparison to the 24th. I've had some that have went through in 5 hours and I've heard of a case where it went through right after the purchase. (This wa...

Wrong. Verizon might soon have a class action against them for just up and TAKING peoples numbers from AT&T Wireless who never asked to have their number ported in the first place. This is only been Verizon, so it isn't AT&T Wireless's fault. I'v dealt with three people so far, and sit near where the Resolution Specialists sit nearby, and four of them had the same kind of problem escalated to them.
Thats just a few cases, and doesn't reflect everyone, but I'v said it once, and will say it again. We're not toally at fault!
...
Yeah but if you guys weren't so bad people wouldn't have to leave in the first place or even check into leaving. If what you are saying is true?, How did we get their number in the first place, they came to us because they are unhappy with ATT wireless.
...
Let me ask you something... How did we "Steal" the numbers from AT&T Wireless?? For a Port to even take place the customer MUST give us thier account information from the previous carrier, INLCUDING their old account number with AT&T! There is no one "Stealing" Numbers.. But remember with Portabilty in effect now, the number NO LONGER "BELONG" TO THE CARRIER, THEY "BELONG" TO THE CUSTOMER. And please provide us a link to this story saying Verizon is going to have a lawsuit against them.
