Another Question about Roaming.

I was wondering if anyone could explain the differences between the network settings on an LGVX6000 (Home, A, B). Currently I have my phone set to B (on the advice of a Verizon rep), but I have my suspicions that this could lead to unneccessary roaming charges. Anybody care to clear this up for me? Thanks.

Ok, depending on where you live, Verizon could be A or B. I would go by what your Verizon Rep says. He would know. If you can EMAIL me your cellular number, I can try to find out for you, as I have a friend that works for Verizon.

If you just do the *228 + SEND, option #2, it should automatically set itself to the right scan, so you know which it is.

If your phone is using the PRL, it really does not matter which it is set to, A or B. As jcohee4738 stated, it depends on where you live. In my area (NC) VZW is the A carrier and Alltel is the B carrier.

I think the A and B are only used when the phone can't find a tower in the PRL.
