Replacement Policy

My ST finally gave up the ghost. What's Verizon's replacement policy...the ST is obviously out of production and they don't carry referbs anymore. What phone will they likely try to fix me up with? I have insurance, if that matters. Thanks in advance.

probably a Motorola t720 or t730.. They will try to stick within the same manufacturer.

I've actually seen the StarTAC replaced with either a v60i or the T720. Typically, its the v60 they give you, but who knows.

I'm not sure which communications store you were at, but I know for a fact refurbished startacs are plentiful in my reigon. As far as just replacing it, they'll more than likely recommend you upgrade from the startac for these reasons:

Refurbished phones don't come with batteries, back plates, or warranties past 6 months (3 in most areas). The warranty might not effect you if you have the TEC insurance, since this gives you an extended warranty.

Don't be surprised when this comes up, unless stores where you are are run differently than the ones where I am (mid-atlantic).
