More Options for Basic Phones?

Hello,

I currently have a smart phone on a family plan with Verizon. I want to downgrade to a basic phone because I hardly use my smartphone. I am up for renewal, but I want to know if I can buy basic phones outside of the actual Verizon store and use it for my family plan.

How would I go about doing this? Where can legit basic phones be purchased online and used for Verizon plans? What are someone the best basic phones out there? I need something with reliable talk/text. A good camera would be an optional bonus.

Thank you.
