I had a Droid Razr and got hold of a Droid Razr Maxx. I work for ATT and reasoned that simply switching SIM cards while having phones off would activate the MAXX.
I did the swap carefully and yes now 12 hrs later the MAXX is running beautifully and with no hiccups.
My wife seems to think I have to inform Verizon of the switch as it could cause trouble if I dont. I dont see the need really so that is my question? Does V really need to know and why?

It doesn't matter. People do it all the time between smartphones. If you log into your MyVerizon you'll see they already know what phone you're now using.

It took me a while to go thru the process of swapping out SIM cards changes your phone. Luckily I learned this while using a T-Mobile phone first, bef...
