Yeah you do. You save up for that full retail handset OR you get grandma to upgrade her feature phone to the one you want and then switch her back to her dinosaur and perform an ESN/MEID change via My Verizon. You DO NOT give up your Unlimited Data plan. Fran Shammo already TOLD all of us what Verizon's plans were. Seduce consumers into upgrading to LTE and giving up their Unlimited Data using the premise that they are not using 2GB RIGHT NOW. But Shammo announced to the shareholders that once consumers begin using LTE they WILL use more and eventually incur overages and pay them AND change to higher tier plans. In the end...Verizon always wins. That's why they sell YOU air.
