To lose your unlimited data:
1) Renew your contract.
2) Move the line to another account (assumption of liability).
3) Change your plan (such as to Share Everything).
To keep your unlimited data:
1) Buy a phone a full retail price (though I would worry about doing this from an indirect dealer - sorry to my peeps in that channel).
2) Activate a "used" phone that is not attached to a contract (again, indirect has been known to do this).
3) Never change your plan when it would effect the data plan, and do not move it from one account to another.
Costco? Really? Sorry, I wouldn't trust a place or person that has to send people elsewhere to get anything fixed.
