If you notice in EROES when you do an ESN change right after an upgrade the system automatically puts the reason code as Worry Free Guarantee Return, and I guess that's how it shows up on their reporting. I questioned Christmas time when people are upgrading and removing the new equipment a lot and was told as long as the new equipment ends up back on the line we wouldn't have an issue.
If people want to do it now, I make them do it once they leave the store through customer service. We can't control what happens after they leave, so not sure how it could come back on us if our ID didn't do it.
