It's going to be made by Samsung.

No other detail is of any significance. 🙄

If Samsung were the only company making keyboards, that might be significant.

Almost a year "old" and I would still take that over any Samsung POS.

You've been warned. My job here is done. 😁

No official release date. Its going to be a rolling release, meaning when Verizon is out of Stratosphere 1's they are going to transition to the 2's.

Its basically a Samsung Stellar with a keyboard

Thx! It's still sad the immense lack of choice of REAL smartphones with REAL keyboards on the market.

My whole life I thought businesses are suppose to
offer choice, not shove the same, same, same 4.3in smartphones down people's throats!!!!

Whatever happened to actual choice in the market?

Droid 4 can't even be considered because of the games
Motorola plays with these non-user accessible batteries.

the interest in smartphones has been dwindling for a long time now. Just because you need one doesn't mean that the majority needs one. There will no longer be a large amount of keyboarded phones in the market place because there is no demand for them. Business are not around to give you a choice, they exist to turn a profit.

The Droid 4 is still the leader of the pack when it comes to keyboarded phones, the Stratosphere 2 will not impress anybody. its a cheap to make phone that will fill a niche.

Market tendencies are going to phablet designs. I've had my hands on LG's phablet, Samsungs new phablet and HTC's new phablet and they are all cutting edge peices of technology. I can honestly say that not once did the desire for a ph...

Demand can't be measured, when a product is barely offered! If keyboard smartphones were actually offered,
then the demand could be measured.

I am soooo sick of making spelling errors on these touchscreen keyboards!!!

The only reason smartphones are moving in the all
touch direction is because the whole industry is
trying to copy the stupid Iphone!
And now both HTC & Motorola are copying Apple
with this stupid non-user accessible batteries.

Keyboard Androids have been heavily marketed over the past 2 years. There is ample market data to suggest whether they are commonly desired or not. Whether or not the executives are ignoring the data or not is an open question, but you cannot claim that there is no basis for the move.

You need to try other software keyboards. There is plenty of choice for Android soft keyboards.

I don't understand how you can say interest in smartphone is dwindling when the IPhone 4S sold the way it did at the end of last year, and the way the Galaxy S2 & S3 have been selling, personally I'm waiting for the S4 next year.

Smartphone sales continue to be big product movers.

And if a business doesn't offer choice, then their isolating a segment of the market.

That's why those new Coke machines at Five Guys Burgers & Fries, some 7-11's, and some BK's, are soooo popular, cause they offer 60+ flavors!*!*!*!
Choice, choice, choice!
