If I were to purchase a phone directly thru Verizon Wireless and chose to put the whole thing on my account...Do I have to pay the whole balance the following month or is it something where I could pay it off monthly?

Thanks

I quit working at Verizon over a year ago, but when I was there, the full balance came due on the next invoice that printed.

Verizon is not a bank, they're not interested in loaning you money and letting you pay it back over time (unless you want to pay outrageous fees).

The best way to game the system is to make a purchase 3 or 4 days after your last bill generated. Then it won't "invoice" until 25 days later, then you get about 20 days after it prints to pay it off.

So, if you can come up with the money to pay it down completely by then, Verizon will finance it for you, technically.

If you go beyond one billing cycle, you're better off to put it on a credit card. Visa's interested rates are WAY lower than Verizon's late fees!...
