If you already own a BlackBerry, why are you asking me what BlackBerry Maps can do? Any new BlackBerry you buy from Verizon will have the exact same GPS capability as the Tour you're rocking right now: free BB Maps (with no audio) free Google Maps (with no audio) or VZNav and a host of other not-free GPS apps which do offer audio navigation.

Nothing will change (with your GPS options) if you switch to a 9850...
