So you never need data on your phone, but if you have to pay for data, you want an advanced feature that most users didn't know existed before ATT started running their commercials?
The sticking point is the CDMA radio they used in the iphone isn't capable of it. The radio in the Thunderbolt is.
But if you don't want data, then get an ipod touch, and a flip/texting phone.
