Because of no unlimited data will I get unlimited data? Otherwise I am going to just switch to virgin mobile, its ****ty service but less than 1/2 the price.

No...and because Verizon reps and customers have been brainwashed they'll ridicule you on the way out.

Troll much? I highly recommend picking a better tact than the obvious, especially when you are trying to troll someone (me) that is neither a Verizon employee or customer.

You'll notice that I never mentioned anyone in my reply. Virgin works well for a lot of customers and your condescending attitude toward the poster is common of the Verizon(or any other major carrier) fanboys.

More like anyone that has been in the industry long enough and is sick and tired of people thinking if they whine and through a big enough temper tantrum they will get whatever they want.

We come to work, try our best to help the customers make the right decision, and what we get in return is being pissed on, called every name in the book, and threatened with physical harm.

You sound like the average person jealous they can't play with the big boys, because your credit sucks too much or you can't get hired by a real carrier.

I have no desire to be in wireless. As far as the big boys go, they're over rated. Why would I pay double for the same (or less) service? The answer...I wouldn't

Well I would rather pay double and know that I am getting good service. Instead of paying half and getting ****ty service...Yeah its crazy but having cellphone service is a good idea.

I would swear that people are either planted or just uninformed. With roaming agreements in place the prepaids have the same reliable service (often times it's the SAME SERVICE). So let's just say you have a feature phone on AT&T and you're paying $69.99 for an unlimited talk plan. You could get that same feature phone using the same network on Net10 for $50 and get web and text thrown in while still saving $19.99...and let's not forget you can get AT&T's own prepaid product on AT&T's own network for $50. The same is possible at Verizon. The fact that there are so many defenders of the obscene pricing is the only reason that carriers can get away with charging what they do.

Firstly, you don't get full access to the network with any of those prepaid options. No prepaid service gives you full access to the same network a contract customer gets. You miss out on roaming agreement areas, you have throttled data, and you have (especially with CDMA) limited phone options that tend to be way worse or very expensive.

I'll grant you your point but also draw your attention to Verizon's Unleashed coverage map. There are a couple of EXTREMELY small areas that are considered voice only roaming where you won't have access to your data. I'll also draw your attention to the device prices starting at $30. Sure you're limited from a device standpoint, but my example was for a feature phone.

For another example, have a look at Metro PCS' newest coverage maps. There you can get a mid-range 4G smart phone and they're expanding the lineup. For most people's needs they can scrape by when out of market using 1xRTT data. Again, I'm just pointing out that this is sufficient for MOST users. I find it comical that MOST users buy what they don't need.

I have people on Boost, Metro PCS, Straight Talk, yada yada yada come in every day and switch over to my company (a small statewide carrier that has a really good PIA option). Why? Because even though what we offer sucks (outside of our 2G coverage being pretty darn good) it is still better than the refill card pre-paid guys, and way cheaper than AT&T and Verizon's pre-paid options.

Also, a $30 pre-paid is a $30 phone... not exactly quality, and not going to be a feature phone, at least not a single one listed on any of their websites I can see.

While for many, a pre-paid phone is more than enough, for a lot more it isn't. They need access to a more reliable network; they need more reliable phones, and they don't want to pay $150 fo...

I'll share with you that Metro PCS has a substantially more reliable voice network in many of their legacy markets than any of the big carriers. The LTE is pretty fast and expanding rapidly.

My experience with Verizon was horrific on the way out. I'm only reporting personal experience.

It's my belief that the majority of their reps and customers drink the Verizon's better than everyone kool-aid. I'm certain there are some exceptions.

Not the customers. That's unique to Verizon. Talk to most AT&T customers and you'll find they're not satisfied...at least the ones I talk to.

As far as reps go you may be right.

Well, if you already have it, you're grandfathered in and can keep it. If not, it was announced way before it happened and that means you've been a customer for less than 40 days and you signed up knowing there was no unlimited.

So either you signed a contract knowing this, or you think they are going to take away your unlimited.

Just as a thought, you may try a few websites where you can take over someone's contract that has unlimited data. I have never used any of these websites, I have only heard about them.
