BB Protect & New Data Plans

As most BB users know BB Protect can only be used with unlimited data plans. How will the new tiered plans affect BB Protect? Is it one more thing VZ is taking away?
BTW: I suppose I'm one of the VERY few people who don't need unlimited data. I use my BB as a phone - first and foremost - for email, texting, calendar, contacts and BB Messenger. I don't, and won't, stream video or music. I use the 150MB data plan and I'm sure that won't carry over if I upgrade my phone. 2GB for $30.00 is outrageous.

I use my BB exactly as you do and also have the 150 MB plan. Still, I'm considering going to the unlimited plan now just in case I decide to purchase a different smart phone some time next year when my "new every two" allows for it at a reduced price. It's a difficult decision inasmuch as there seems to be a difference of opinion as to whether today's unlimited data plan will be grandfathered in if one upgrades smart phones after July 7.
