Does anyone know when the new Motorola LTE is due to be released? ....

I am hoping soon. I am now waiting for VzW to get their current LTE crap out of the way that they are offering with all the Battery problems, etc.

If the new Moto LTE phone is aslike the other 3G Moto Smarties, then I will grab that. As for the future delay after delay with the Apple LTE phone, they can go kiss the sky, I am not waiting forever.

You would think with VzW turning up new LTE markets this past week, they would try to get more LTE flagships out there now instead of later? I am sure that there has to be reasons
though. Maybe the network cannot handle too many LTE's right now? Just a guess. I have no idea.

Verizon, hurry up with the LTE Moto please! 😳

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

ok, wow....

i sure hope that you don't work for VzW with that positive and upbeat attitude.

i might have rambled, but within your pleasant response, may i ask what insanely idiotic thing that you personally disagreed with?

look at the reviews with the current VzW LTE phones and YOU tell me? i do not see a 5-star rating, so humm could YOU be the idiot?

you have a nice day mr. bill. 😉

LTE is a new technology still being rolled out and tweaked by Verizon and not even offered by 90% of most companies. Currently there is only a tiny portfolio of phones available. LTE is being focused on data modems at the moment. There will be way more phones as the technology goes online by other carriers, but that won't be anytime soon. You are going to have to wait probably at least a year before getting a decent selection of phones available. LTE is so new that Verizon is on the cutting edge of even offering it. Don't expect a choice of phones available until more companies roll out LTE. It's too expensive for manufacturers to make a phone that only one or two companies can sell. So be very patient and check back in a year. 🙂

And yet some 3G phones still hit the market as duds. Don't expect time to perfect anything in the wireless business.

yeah, you guys are correct. i was tired ranting on and on. it was the one response that caught me off guard. first, i love vzw, and i do realize that 4g is new and it will get better. it is just the phones that i felt should be a tad better. i realize they will get better and better in time as like with everything else. i am a moto fan, and i like my droid x. i am just hoping that a moto 4g will someday come out soon. playing with the thundebolt, it is amazing the spped of 4g.

I find it interesting that so many people claim there are battery issues when they don't have the phones themselves. I have had the Thunderbolt for two or so months now and my battery runs great. I get from about 7AM to about 11PM just fine, and that's WITH usage. I turned off a few of the automatic updaters (stocks and news, for instance), and adjusted my Facebook settings, and I get through the day just fine. Last night, for instance, I plugged in after midnight and unplugged in the morning around 6:30. AND all on a standard battery.

Do I have days where I don't make it as far? Sure I do. That's why I have extra chargers. Anyone who buys a phone and doesn't adjust the settings - on any model - is asking for a diminished battery ...

Yeah well your not a bored security guard who watches a lot of news videos at work. I started my shift last night at 12, and by 1:45 my battery was down to something like 50-40%.

I hate to say it, but if I were using it at full bore for almost two hours, I would expect the battery to be worse off than that. When I know I'm going to be doing something that intensive, I plug in.

I was mostly doing speed test to get used to the awesomeness that 4G is. And watched some news videos on the FOX NEWS & CNN apps. I do bring my charger with me to work, but I have to patrol also.
