I really want this phone but no one has really given a ownership review yet. I am wondering if this phone is or is not popular. Any information would be great. Thanks everyone! 😉

People are actually paying $300 for it?

Sadly, yes.

The full retail on it is the same as on the Thunderbolt, and for whatever reason, Verizon isn't subsidizing it as much. If you're going non-contract, the price is the same. If you're going to go 2 year contract, the TBolt is $50 cheaper. I don't see an overwhelming difference to justify paying more.

All I have to say is I really want my next smartphone to have a nexgen display like the Super AMOLED Plus, the colors really POP. But Vzn doesn't seem to have any intentions of offering any choice with LTE smartphones just more, and more of the same 4.3in all touch.

Since Samsung holds the reigns on Super AMOLED Plus (and the future version, Super Duper AMOLED Plus One [So There Edition]), Verizon is more at the mercy of Samsung releasing a phone (or LCD to a competitor) than anything else. You sell what's available on the market, not just one product. A year ago, AMOLED was on a lot of brands. Today it's primarily a Samsung thing. Samsung learned over the past 18 months that it's self-beneficial to hold back the best technology for themselves.

I understand, just put one out with a frinkin keyboard. Essentially I want a version of the Samsung Epic for Vzn with LTE, newer specs, and Ice Cream version of Android.

Maybe cause their aren't that many people who can afford the $300 price tag.

Been selling pretty well from my store. Haven't had any complaints from it so far and seems to be able to hold 4g rather well. Battery life has been pretty decent also.

Overall seems to be a solid little phone.

Touchwiz is still a horrible UI for Android though.

Since some of you guys/gals are employee's, do you have a pref between the Thunderbolt vs. the Charge? My gut feeling is to still hold out. I played with the Charge, and flipping between the screens seemed as a severe delay. Plus I really did not like the plastic feel. The colors though were beyond beautiful though!! Best I have seen to date. It seems as if every 6 weeks, a new device suddenly becomes outdated. My dream is of a 4g Apple. Dream on I guess. On my other line is my Droid X, I still love that phone, that would be the phone that would be great as a 4g !!

Wait for the Apple to come out. Chances are you will get more than 4 hours out of the battery.

I personally don't have much of a preference at all. I'm currently using a T-bolt and its a pretty decent phone. There are, however some quirks that occassionally bother me (not being able to send txts on my first try is the main one) and switching from 4g to 3g can sometimes be problematic. I've simply switched my 4g to always on to solve this problem. These are probably 'deal-breakers' to the hardcore cellphone snob, but i've figured out workarounds to them.

The charge is lighter with a better screen than the t-bolt, but doesn't feel as solid nor has a kickstand. I've not had a chance to use one and run it through its paces yet, but none of the ones i've sold have come back with any major issues and calling back my customers hasn't...

As far as the Internet rumors are looking, waiting for a 4G iPhone will be about half the time you had to wait for any kind of iPhone on Verizon (which, you may recall, was FOUR YEARS).

But those of you who have been reading me over the years know that I don't trust most of the Internet rumors about iPhones. Apple does a good job of keeping things quiet until about a week before anything hits a store. So for all we know, three iPhones are launching next month, or the iPhone 4S (likely the model to come out before "5," it seems) could be in January of next year.

Personally, I'm on the T'Bolt and love it. I had the Incredible before it. Personally, I may never buy a Samsung Android phone based solely on how long it takes Samsung to p...

From what I have read most people seem to agree with you on this. I will have my new phone by the end of summer, so far it would be the TBolt.

I first heard rumors of an Apple phone around 2005. If I had waited for the phone to come to Verizon, I would have waited five or six years. In the meantime, I could have used a slew of perfectly usable phones.

Waiting for one specific brand of phone to come to ludicrous. Go where the phone is, or get something else. Simple.
