Dear Verizon,

Every time I call you, I always enjoy talking to your friendly reps. My questions are always answered and my issues are resolved quickly, and you guys actually engage in conversation with me! Thank you for your high level of customer service. I originally signed on to Verizon for the coverage, but the reason I will stay with you is your customer service. I love you!

XOXO

Sprint's customer service is very good. I left Sprint for Big Red because I moved to an area where Sprint did not have coverage. But Sprint was and is good.

That's not by accident. Reps are coached on filling dead air and the like. Every call is recorded and one never knows what call will be reviewed for a coaching. It is a totally different culture than many call centers. I actually had to unlearn some habits in my current job. My mentor was like, "You're being too friendly. Don't ask the customer how he is going. You're killing your handle time and keeping other customers waiting." Hilarious. That's one reason I only call Verizon when absolutely necessary. I know the rep is chatting me up because it is part of their job and I would rather not deal with it.

I only speak the truth. He's not special. They do it for everyone and it is not genuine. Frankly, I would want to know so I didn't sit there running someone's handle time up. Hard to make those calls when customers are flirting and asking "so where are you?" As to my attitude...if it is so bad how about you ignore my posts and replies going forward. I certainly will not miss you. You're not special either.
