4G coverage map
Is there a map showing where 4G will be available?
Thank you.
...
Yes. Take a look at the standard 3g map for verizon. If you wait long enough, all that is red will be covered by 4g.
or you could go here

Not a whole lot of dark red on that map, how long is long? New 4G phones coming out and have to drive 150 miles to enjoy it?
Thanks for the info.

or, ya know, get the 4g phones that are going to be much better hardware and enjoy the same smartphone pricing and wait till your area gets 4g.

Well, ya know if I get a 4G phone now, and when it's a year old before 4G gets here, have an upgrade now, and another one in the summer, was really looking at the Thunderbolt. Just have to see on what people say about it vs anything coming out by this summer.
Thank you for the information.

I would wait. Unless you're really going to use Android for something. I am wasting a great device. It just sits there acting like a data card every day. Poor phone... Too advanced for its user. Where have I heard THAT before? 🙄

I'll hold off for awhile and see what might be on the way. No hurry, haven't had my Droid X for very long.
Thank you.

You haven't been with Verizon long, have you? I remember when they launched EV-DO...San Diego and D.C. Yep. That was it. They've come a long way. One thing I can say about them before the Alltel 'merger' at least is that they spent money back into their network. Now that they run the business like Alltel culture-wise...we'll see.

Been with Verizon for over, can't remember that far back, I think I was with Airtouch.

They aim to have all their current 3g covered by LTE by the end of 2013.. Right now they're in 30 markets (give or take). by the end of the year, they hope to be in over 150.
