Passing up on the HTC Thunderbolt, what phones will be coming out and better?

I'm just used to waiting now, plus I am cool with a blackberry on a $15 data plan at the moment.

I wouldn't want to be the first to get the HTC Thunderbolt. I can see many problems coming.

I've heard good things about Droid X, so I am not worried about the Droid Bionic failing.

Besides the Bionic, what others will be worthy competitors.

What's the Incredible 2 about?

I plan on getting one before summer hits. I was going crazy waiting for the HTC Thunderbolt, but I feel they failed with the marketing of it. Too much hype, reading about the battery issue, the multiple delays, has turned me off from it completely.

I think the droid x 2, droid 3 and the dinc 2 will be out by the end of the summer.

Lol. That is a long time, but I am sure it would be worth the wait. I can probably take 1-3 more months for a phone. I've had the blackberry I am using now, since 2007.

The ONLY marketing they did for it was the announcement at CES and the teaser trailer with the girl counting between lightning strikes.

No review units out, meaning battery issues are fud or based on hearsay.

They also NEVER officially announced it, so it's literally IMPOSSIBLE for them to have delays.

You're EXACTLY the type of customer who shouldn't read rumors. You don't understand the difference between them and actual launches.

To add to Menno's comments, a true marketing failure is when a product and its marketing hold no value in the consumer's mind. A marketing failure is NOT caused when an unexpected product launch fails to meet expectation. As no date was ever announced, there can be no failure to meet the expectation of that launch date.

If any failure has been made here, it was from a constituent reseller jumping the gun on printed advertising when no launch date had even been set. Sure, it's safe to assume that somewhere, six months or so back, Best Buy was expecting a late-February release when they finalized their circular with the Thunderbolt included. That's their own fault - they know all too well that tentative estimates for a launch date could...

You're EXACTLY the type of person who knows NOTHING about market. You'll NEVER get it. It's IMPOSSIBLE for you to understand this.

You're the person who thinks you can get a Thunderbolt for $50 or less.

(In case you missed it, this means your opinion is worth less than the space it takes up on the forums)

Sorry, but you're lying through your teeth. With the plan you claim to have, you're a net loss for the company, and they would've cut all of your lines months ago.

Either you've got the stomach (and wallet) to be an early adopter, or you don't.

Please decide what you are. Nothing in the pre-release stage is going to have any kind of quality credibility.

You can live on the cutting edge, guessing if you'll be satisfied like the Nexus S and Storm owners of yesteryear, or you can sit back and wait until 4 weeks after launch date to see what things a really like on the phones.

Stop running around like the b*st*rd child of Steve Jobs and my grandmother.

I've got the wallet and the brains to not be an early adopter.

I have already decided what I am. I already said I wasn't going to try this phone until after I hear the complaints. I can live on the cutting edge even waiting for complaints.

by then he'll be getting free service, wait! they'll be paying HIM for the honor of being an asshole to their customer service reps and racking up credits he has no business handling.

It's like watching a kid who got caught in a lie try and bury it with another lie.
