Verizon iPhone 4 vs Droid X

So I've had the droid x since it came out, just received the verizon iphone 4 yesterday and well...I think it's going back; wanted to see if I'm missing something first.

The 2 reasons that the iphone is going back essentially add up to the droid being more functional.

1) Droid widgets, none existent on iphone
2) Native voice to text on droid, missing on iphone. All the app store options I found for iphone defeated the purpose (quick easy voice texting)

Aside from the cameras (mentioned below) there's nothing I can do on the iphone that I can't also do on the droid.

To me it just seems like if you care more about fashion, and/or music/media consumption etc then the iphone would be best for you, but if you want raw functionality...

Not missing a thing. You're exactly right. Android is way mote customizable and has more options.

Yea, the iphone 4 in terms of quality construction of the device and polishing of the OS is just about flawless, makes my droid x seem like something made by Mattel by comparison, but they REALLY dropped the ball on functionality.

Too bad...

Sounds like it's not the right device for you. I never wanted Verizon to get the thing because I thought the world would beat a path to the door to buy it. I just wanted an option available. I hated when I worked their and they had a script for those times a customer wanted an iphone. Now they have it. Let the consumer choose...

Nice review. Sounds like I could sell a lots of iphones to grandmas, soccer moms and teens.

Well...yeah. But I knew the iphone was popular. I am the guy who delighted in rubbing VZW fans noses in the fact that AT&T was activating three million per quarter, after all. His remarks were just making me think of the target segment one could sell them to.
