WHO DOES VERIZON THINK THEIR FOOLIN WITH THE DROID?
All carriers have these phones. I went into Sprint and they had the evo which is 1000000000 times cooler than the dumb droid. Then AT&T had the captivate which is insane. They're everywhere not just Verizon like they advertise. OOOOOOOOO DROID. OOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOO!!!! MY NAME IS VERIZON REP AND FORGET TO MENTION THAT ANDROID IS NOT JUST AT VERIZON.

You've never taken a marketing class, have you. This is basic stuff. Why does Honda have commercials that make it sound like the Accord is the only mid-size car to own? We all know about the Toyota Camry, Hyundai Sonata, Nissan Ultima, Ford Fusion...etc. Or how about AT&T's very misleading commercials which would have you believe that you can actually get a consistant signal on their network? I've been an AT&T customer. I know it's hit or miss at best. Marketing.

I came to Verizon because at the time all there was to choose from for Android on AT&T was the looser deformed Motorola Backflip. At the time (March) the Motorola Droid was by far the best smartphone on the market.

I'm with you on this Jay; I really like the keyboard on this bad boy. On the bright side it looks like Vz will be getting that HTC slider sometime next year; something to look forward to.

It's oh right. I had a problem with the keyboard, buttons coming loose in my original Droid. I had to make a warranty claim.
And now my 2nd Droid: *supposedly* the screen is made of gorilla glass, but mine fell from some steps and now the screen has !!2!! cracks, somehow I have a hard time believing, at least this perticular Droid is made of gorilla glass.

don't really know, so many choices. i may wait and see what the holiday season brings. besides, i'm not rolling in cash just now lol. phones are moving sooo fast now you just have to grab one that suits you and hang of for dear life. actually thinking of doing a one year contract 'cuz vz will be launching their lte and next year will bring a huge change in available phones. you should be coming out of contract about then i think-good timing imo.
