I have been reading this website and others for years. I have never posted on any thread but read almost all of them everyday. I felt the need to add to this one so... I work in a service department for a BMW dealership and one of my customers is the VP of Sales for Verizon Wireless. He would probably kill me if he knew I was doing this and until now I have kept this to myself but about a month ago I was asking him about different rumors going around and he shot down a lot of them. When I got to the topic of the IPhone he got real quite and kinda looked at me like he wanted to tell me but he couldn't. What he did say was that Verizon was going to be doing business with Apple in "some fashion" at the start of 2011 but wouldn't say to what ext...

Options are always a good thing and having the iphone will be great for verizon!

And the antennagate thing seems way blow out of control. Plus who is NOT putting a case on this things. Its a $600 phone and you can't get insurance. I know I would have a case on there, lol.

Here here! I'm not saying Verizon NEEDS the iphone, but it would be nice to have the option to buy one without having to jump carriers.

I would like to see the iphone on verizon. I may not get it, but its always nice to have more options and be able to switch things up a little bit.

Umm, I never said Verizon shouldn't offer the zombie phone. But there have been 2-3 YEARS worth of rumors.

Apple cronies want an Iphone so bad they will believe *ANYTHING* they read.

Let's just chill til we see an *OFFICIAL* headline directly from Verizon or Apple.

I've practically stopped using this board because of the constant iPhone rumor posts.

I'm fine with the phone being offered on Verizon. I'm just sick of having to read about it day in and day out. It seems like if someone sneezes at Apple it turns into a Verizon iPhone rumor with some "credible" rumor-news outlet, then rebroadcast to all the local papers and TV stations as bona fide news.

I worry the lunacy won't end the day Verizon sells an iPhone. From that day forward I'll have to deal with everyone from the educated to the uneducated looking to buy a phone that may not be the right match for them. Just like when I had to sell the RAZR over a dozen better phones, simply because it was THEE RAZR.

This actually makes me laugh, and not because of your frustration, but because of the RAZR comment. My first cell phone was a RAZR from ATT, and the reps actually tried to talk me out of it.

"It's all about the look, it's really expensive and doesn't do anything," they said.

They were right.

I always tried to talk customers out of Motorola phones: The Razr, The V265, V276, Krzr, Razr Maxx... When they bought it and came back whining about the phone...I just gave them my death stare...and FRUed them right into another phone of the same model.

I hated moto until the droid. Its been great and my wife's DroidX is awesome.

That's what I've witnessed. I had to eat my words about it being a Motorola. I still won't buy another Motorola though.

What would be the point be of building a 3g CDMA apple phone when big V is going to build out LTE this coming year? Who is going to want to buy a phone that only is going to work on a second class network? (even if all the iphone fans are now) Second as close as Verizon and Goggle have become I wonder if Apple could even get it phone on Vz if it want to now. The Iphone is last year Android is whats next. I have been lead to understand Google does not charge for its OS. If that is true I would think it would be a huge draw to phone makers and the phone companies both.
