🙄 🙄
We know that times are tough for both businesses and customers. So,we are not terribly surprised to hear that a Verizon Wireless customer could not make the $308 payment due on his monthly invoice. It is what the rep for the carrier allegedly said that takes this story to another level. Al Burrows, the customer, worked out a 90 day payment plan on the debt with the assistance of a Verizon collector. Not terribly long after both sides agreed to the deal, another Verizon rep made a call to Mr. Burrows and even though he was aware of the deal, the rep demanded immediate payment and threatened to "...blow your m***** f***ing house up". Burrows, who admits to being scared about the threat, is suing the carrier and filed the case w...

I don't understand what the point of these types of posts are? Are you trying to say that there are actually crazy people that work for companies?

When you count the non-insane people, they do.

I'd be more worried about what company that guy will work at in the future... cause if he really did pull that at Verizon Wireless, then you know he isn't working there anymore.

Correct, Verizon (like most companies), outsources it's collections. A company purchases a portion (minimal to nearly all) of a debt and then goes after that person directly. Verizon has already gotten some of their money back by the time a collector calls a customer.

By law, a collector can say anything up to the point of threatening bodily harm to scare you into paying your debt. Most agencies, however, bend or break that law. The unfortunate aspect of this is that they're calling as if they represent the company the original debt is owed to, when in reality they are a different, separate company, which purchased the debt from the original company. When you talk to a collector, especially for a big company like a phone company, y...

So if this was a verizon employee, there is no "alleged" they just need a court order to get the recording.

On top of that, if you're getting calls for a past due bill like that, chances are high it's a third party collections agency.

And verizon didn't write off the bill because of a misunderstanding (the 18k bill) they wrote it off to shut up idiot reporters who would rather give mis information that sells over actually understanding what happened.

Both the father and the son ADMITTED to tethering the device, something that was NEVER offered for free, and isn't covered by a typical data plan.

Unless it was that particular representatives last few days before being fired and he was irked, I really don't see somebody risking their job with rediculous threats like that. When the recording is posted for us to hear, I'll believe it, but otherwise it's just another customer claiming craziness to make us feel sorry for them. This is as plausable as the customers who claim they make $200.00/hour using their phone and want an hourly credit for their phone not working.

Not unless they're running some kind of 1800-NSTYGRL service from their phone and charging 3.33 a minute. In which case....get a dedicated landline you cheapskate. 🤣

LOL, no kidding...

"I make $200.00/hour on my cellphone but cannot afford the insurance deductible! I demand it waived!"

Like, seriously people? If your job is so important, get a landline, or multiple cellphones. If they really made as much as they claim, it would be a drop in the bucket.

Way to plagiarize there. I love how you copy and pasted the article word for word and gave absolutely no credit to the source. I call Douche post!
