I am currently using a Blackberry Tour, I had been using a Droid Eris up until 2/18. My billing cycle is on the 21st of every month. When I switcheed my phone from the Eris to the Tour on the 18th of Feburary they prorated some charges on my bill. Its was like 25 dollars for the Eris data plan, and then they prorated my charge for the rest of the month on the Blackberry Data plan which was like 2.25. No. When you get a bill, it's for the month you're already in, due five days before your month ends. There's no way for the system to bill you for a bill cycle that's still a whole month away (from the perspective of the bill in your hands).

When you see prorations, they are for the month you were in when you made those changes.

Then you are also billed for the month in advance.

If you ever change from an Smartphone back to a regular phone that does not require a data plan you will be refunded for the remaining days in the billing cycle for the month in advance.

Your future bills will only show one charge for the $29.99.

You could wait until the end of the billing cycle to activate another phone, but that's only going to change t...

And by the "month in advance," we always mean the month you're already in by the time you see your bill. I always point out the date ranges to customers. "A month in advance" is NEVER MORE THAN 30 days ahead of the actual date.
