Data usage when accessing email, etc.

I'm thinking of getting a phone that requires (at least) the minimum data plan, which is $10/25 megs. I wonder how long it takes to burn through that? I would only being using data to check pop3 email in the phone's email client and I'm trying to figure out if I could get through the month without going over. Any thoughts on this appreciated.

If you are only using it for email you will be more than fine with 25mb. I use email all day long and even do some light internet surfing all month long and never go over 25mb even though my plan offers unlimited.

The other thing to consider is that IF you already have unlimited text messaging, that $10 can usually buy you unlimited data, not 25 MB. Look at the Connect plans from VZW.

If you have Unlimited messaging (Select Plan) you can upgrade to the Connect Plan for 10.00 more a month which offers unlimited data and email.
