Confession

by Azeron    Oct 18, 2009, 3:50 AM

I want an Iphone. There I said it. The Blackberry Storm 2 is on the way and many are planning to upgrade to it. Some are planning to lie about the service/signal/taste of their existing phone in an attempt to bully tech support into GIVING them a Storm 2 (good luck with that). Me? I'm going to sulk in the corner with my Curve coveting the Iphone. I'll go to my cousin's house and play with his or his wife's Iphone or even their eight-year- old's Ipod Touch and dream of the day when Verizon will have its LTE network up and running and I will have an Iphone on Verizon. As long as I am dreaming I am sure winning the Powerball will be in there as well.

Why don't I just switch to AT&T? Did I mention that the 3G does not work inside my cousin's home? No? It doesn't. He's cheating. He has a WiFi network running at his house. *Sigh* Oh, why not the Storm 2? Get real. When one really wants an Iphone, settling for a knock off is just that...settling. I know, I know. Verizon has the best network and customer service *yawn* (Please wake me when it's over). I'm not going anywhere. But I'm not signing any new contracts either. No one on my account is getting a new phone until I get an Iphone...on Verizon. When I log into My Verizon and the pop up pops up informing me that I am upgrade eligible I will sneer and continue on to view my usage.

I just wish there were more individuals who wanted the Iphone on Verizon out there. Maybe instead of jumping on every POS imitation Iphone Verizon launches, they would refuse to upgrade and wait for the real deal. Like me... Maybe those who were already burned by the original Storm would wisely pass on the Storm 2. After all, it's STILL not an Iphone. There are some individuals who for years argued that Blackberry was superior and turned their noses up at the Iphone and the ridiculousness of a touchscreen device. They changed their minds when the Storm was launched. Then they complained about the Storm. Many called in ranting and raving about the Storm being a piece of ish (all true) and how they should be given a Tour free of charge with no contract extension (Yes ma'am and would you like tomorrow's winning power ball numbers while awaiting my supervisor?) I do so hope they do not call in demanding a Storm 2 free of
charge (uh huh) or run out and upgrade to it. It may not be as bad as the original but in the end down deep inside you know that it is still not an Iphone. Give the people what we want Verizon. Lowell walking around with a Storm 2 doesn't impress me in the least. When he has an Iphone on VZW LTE get back at me.
