All I can say is WOW! I just got it yesterday. I usually don't give reviews within a few days of owning a device but I thought I'd at least give my first impressions. If any new reviews come up I'll post them. So far the Touch really changed my mind on phones all together. I usually like regular 3G flip phones and was skiddish about getting a touch-screen phone but this was definatly worth getting. The interface and software on this phone is so great and very useful. I'll list the pros and cons:

Pros:
Screen - Touch screen is very responsive, best touch screen than most; internal screen is very sharp, graphics aren't pixilated or "cartoony".

Keyboard - I'm not used to a QWERTY keyboard so I've got to get used to it but I can sa...

thank you for this review . . . I am curious about something, actually two things.

First is the reception of the V3 vs the Touch; I am having some reception issues with the V3 in my area while the Touch seems to be getting a stronger signal; can you comment on that?

Second, I had a concern about the battery life of the Touch. They V3 had better specs and didn't have the drain of the touch screen and added processing needs.

Appreciate your thought . . . thx

very rarely will the manufacturer make a difference on reception....as you said in one of your previous posts, VZW already admitted that some of their coverage is lacking in your area.

So how do you explain a Moto Razr performing better that the V3? Must be some impact on the phones reception capability; if even slight. No?

I've been messing around the Touch more yesterday and I've found out the camera absolutly ROCKS! Alot of features with that. And texting works like chatting. It's still text messaging but the messages are "threaded" which means when you text the same person it already has a reply space below the message to type and keeps the conversation sequence in chatting format.

Another think I like is that you can go to YouTube.com and watch videos. (for those who think Vcast don't have enough to watch) Gotta love HTML.

As for your question about the battery. Before I say anything make note that the battery is still right out of the box brand new so I think it has to condition a little before making a total call on this. But compaired to my ...

Thank you

Any comments on the reception; do you see a difference in bars available between the enV3 and the Touch?

Thx

After using the Touch more recently, I have to say the reception is great! The phone I had before the Touch was the Motorola Rapture. The Rapture has several glitches with it like freezing up during texting, Song ID never worked, and a problem thats not really a glitch but a mistake Moto made, no Crystal Talk. Even with all that I thought the reception was really good on that phone, but the LG Touch beats the Rapture. Touch is a better phone with better reception.

LG Touch FTW

Thanx Cellgeek . . . I'd really love to know how the reception on the Touch compares to the reception on your wifes phone the enV3. Do you have consistantly more bars than her phone?

thank you

In my time with VZW I can tell you any LG phone has better reception than the rest, except maybe for the Moto E815.
And when I had the LG Dare I was really surprised it played Youtube, it's not even a smartphone! Good to hear LG has kept this ability in their new VZW phones. 😁

I think the reception is about the same on both the enV3 and the enV Touch. I haven't got to use my wife's phone alot, she's always using it lol. You'll find that the enV Touch and the enV3 are very close related when it comes to technology and features. The main difference you'll find is the touch screen. Also the Touch does not have Dashboard. This isn't a problem, I had Dashboard on the Rapture and I really don't miss it. Instead of going through Dashboard to get to the browser you just simply click the browser icon.

Not to step on your toes but, the LG Touch is on Verizon's network, meaning it will work better anyway. Doesn't matter what Sprint has to offer, dealing with Sprint isn't worth it. Sprint can't even keep customers! I've been with several carriers and I can honestly say that Verizon really does work better.

At&t says they have more bars in more places. In the city I live in that's actually true. They get slightly more bars than everybody else but their network is so unreliable I left them. I left Verizon twice but came back to Verizon twice. Everytime I think another carrier is better, I'm quickly reminded how great Verizon's network is. Their call quality, customer service and coverage beats everybody.
