PC Suite or Ovi Suite comaptible?
none of the VZW Nokia phones are listed as compatible with PC Suite or Ovi Suite on the Nokia web site. Does anyone know if any of the VZW Nokia phones are compatible? I'm looking for a non-smartphone that I can sync my outlook contacts and calendar with, I know some of the Motorola phones use a similar program 'phone tools" or something similar but also not sure which phones.

Verizon utilizes the "Brew" OS for there "dumb-phones." You will not be able to sync your info with them as there is no software to do it. If this is something you really wanted to do then you will need to get a "smart-phone." If that isn't your cup of tea then you may have to look at a GSM network where the devices are left with the individual manufacturers UI as there are third party softwares that you could purchase to do this with.

I have an Omnia, it seems a bit overkill for what I use it for. the windows part works ok but getting to the phone and using the phone book is a bit of a burden sometimes. Is there a way to somehow get my outlook phonebook uploaded to the Verizon wireless on-line program that backs up your contacts and then get that to your phone?

Hmm, I am sorry but I am not a current Verizon customer nor do I work for them therefor I do not know the functionality of the Verizon Contacts on-line backup. In theory though I do not see why you wouldn't be able to do that; however, I think that all you would be able to backup would be your contacts and not your calendar lists and such like that.

I appreciate the help, it's just a shame that all the "experts" on VZW that jump all over anyone that makes a disparaging remark either can't or are not willing to simply say VZW is at a disadvantage in this instance or here is the solution.

I agree completely. But I believe their response would be that VZW will transfer all of you contacts at the store or that they have the on-line backup feature. Don't get me wrong I am not bashing VZW but rather stating my observations.

There is not a way to sync your Outlook contacts to Backup Assistant (online program). You could manually type them online and then sync them to your phone though. It would be easier to type them online than on your phone. But the Backup Assistant is only available for the BREW phones.
