I am in the market for a new phone and wanted to know which an all around better phone. I have made feature comparisons (on this site and vw website) and still cannot decide. I have not gone into a store yet (dont worry im not making a decision off your replies, I jsut want opinions)so I dont have any other experience with the phones.

All i want are what Verizon Wireless employees and owneers of the respective phones think.

PS- I currently own an Audiovox for about 18months (and it is my first mobile phone) and I am very happy wiht its durability although my vibrate has begun to malfunction

One more questions, are their any other phones within the $120-150 range that is ESTIMATED to be released before xmas, that may give either pho...

nO NEW PHONES THAT SHOULD CHANGE YOUR MIND. i WOULD SAY THE 8600 WILL BE FINE CONSIDERING THAT YOU ARE ALREADY USED TO THE MENU AND SETUP PROCEDURES. tHE SAMSUNG IS A BETTER PHONE BUT THE CLIP IS WORTHLESS AND IT IS MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE.hOWEVER I DO LIKE THAT EXTRA BATTERY AND THE PIGGYBACK CHARGER.

As for Audiovox, it's important to note that they're not actually a manufacturer. They just brand phones from other manufacturers and handle distribution and marketing in North America.

7000-series Audiovox phones are actually made by Sharp.

8000-series Audiovox phones are actually made by Pantech & Curitel (formerly Hyundai).

9000-series Audiovox phones are actually made by Toshiba.

...so for example, if your old phone is a 9000-series Audiovox, then you shouldn't let your experience with that phone affect your opinion of an Audiovox 8600 - they are actually from different manufacturers.

go with the 8600 .. definitely by far better quality.. it has speaker phone too which the 530 does not. & the 530 tends to get more returns than usual.. I don't even sell the 530 anymore.. With the new 8600 out & the motorola 730, these 2 models by far have the best quality w/ verizon.

How about the 4000 series? Also Toshiba? My 3 1/2 year old 4500 is quite similar to wife's 9100. The 4500 has been totally satisfactory 😁
-- I'm replacing it only because I need a tri-mode for AC. If all I want is a basic phone with excellent talk/listen, reception, and good battery life, will the Kyocera 2325 get me there?
