I tried the curve and thought the buttons were too small. I want to get my hands on an 8830.

The buttons are pretty much the same size. They may be a hair bigger on the 8830, but they're not big enough to get excited about.

I hate pink phones. Stupid girls. Why can't you just have a normal phone like everybody else? Or take the stupid shell off, sand it, paint it whatever color you want, then put it back together? This wild consumerism drives me crazy...mostly because it's a huge pain in the ass to clear out multicolor phones once they get discontinued.

Ever heard of BREAST CANCER AWARENESS, some STUPID girls like MYSELF, like the "PINK" phones as the color "PINK" is the support color for BREAST CANCER AWEARNESS. Breast Cancer not only took my Grandmother from me but also a very close family friend. So the color "PINK" signified's something to me. Sorry if that adds to your work load!

I was excited to see this thread on here about the Pink Curve that is now available on the verizon network, then reading the threads to see the comment of one individual really sparked a flame, there is always one ignorant person who feels that their comments are funny, I find nothing funny and I take great offense. I agree with everything that Vickie23 said, being a BC survivor, even though the proceeds of some pink items do not go to the BC FOUNDATION, I always try to purchase stuff in the color pink. because it is the color pink that brings the awareness to others. Some people wear ignorance better than others.

🙄

To some people, colors mean something. To me, they don't. That's like tying the color red to communism every time you see it. Michael Jordan wearing a red shirt? He must be a communist!

I'm not sitting here bashing on breast cancer. I'm sick of the idiots that have to have a "pink phone" because it's the newest thing in fashion. I'm sick of stupid teenage girls needing everything to be pink because they want to look girly. I actually had a woman refuse a pink phone the other day because it was too girly for her. Get off your high horse. Pink does not always mean "breast cancer."

rotheman - If you can't handle individuality that is your problem. Pink does stand for something other than being girly. Welcome to the 20th century.
BTW those teenage girls preferences help put commission in your pocket.

celnut - welcome to the 21st century where T-Mobile tries and fails to be represented by the color pink. Pink could mean that you're a huge fan boy of T-Mobile as well. Maybe T-Mobile is just doing its part to spread awareness about breast cancer...?

Please explain to me how individuality is expressed when you're just buying the same mass produced product as all of your friends. Sounds more like conforming to me. If you really wanted to show individuality through your cell phone of all things, you could always take the shell off and paint it yourself...which is what I was suggesting to begin with.

Making phones of different colors is ridiculous and creates unnecessary work for a lot of people. The pink curve is no di...

On the verizon web site I can upgrade my phone and get the Pink curve for 49.99, is it the same in the stores or only online? I had just added to my phone on our family plam the 500 text etc. so do I have to have the BB data plan for 29.99 added to my family plan or is that only if I am going to use the web? If so can someone tell me why with the BB's you have to take the data plan? that is where I get confused, the other smartphones pda's you don't have to or do you? Thanks in advance, my daughter got the pink BB curve and it seems to be a really nice phone, I notice that alot of people on here recommend those over the palms and where i haven't decided which one I want I was wondering about this one. a PDA is a must for me. but I am not sur...

Verizon is contractually obligated to add a data plan on all BB devices. The reason is prolly because they use so much data. BB's are constantly transmitting data back and forth from the servers. Treos only transmit data when you want it to.

BB's are much more stable than treos, and I until palm makes some major changes, I wont be going back anytime soon.

Pricing might be slightly different online vs in store, but that is only because online your rebate is instant and you dont have to mail it in.
