They are still there at alt.cellular.verizon - it's this forum that is no longer pointing to that Usenet group.
The operator of the phonescoop.com site had been providing a web-based gateway to that and other Usenet groups as a service to his readers. He has chosen to drop that service and implement in-house forums instead.
