My question is: Was the Verizon link that you have posted supposed to bring us to a "coverage map"? My next question is: Have we ALL read the disclaimer underneath the Verizon "rate map"? My next question is: How long has it been since Verizon has offered consumers a coverage map?... An actual glimpse of RF propagation from THEIR existing network?...

Nextel's "coverage" maps are just that... A conservative depiction of RF propagation from THEIR own, existing and currently operating, network.

I clicked on "View Map" on your Verizon link... These maps are not coverage maps... Verizon themselves clearly state that within the first sentence.

It is what it is.

3rd answer, there is a coverage map hanging in every retail store for everyone to view as well as coverage brochures available to take wi...

Just because the map might show coverage. Doesnt mean the phone is going to work buddy. AWS shows all of CA covered except basically the Central/east area. People always bitch about coverage. Just ask around chipster. Or take advantage of the Buyers Remorse periods they offer and use the phone in your daily life.
