jmoney921

I found a post on hofo that shows you how to get free vz nav or anything on get it now.
This is the link:
http://www.northtexasfishing.com/8300.htm »
I did it on my lg 8300 and it works! I have free vz nav, games, ebay, and internet!
Try it out, why pay $10 a month when you can get it for free?

I'm amazed. And people wonder why VZW locks out features on phones, and has contracts. There will always be someone trying to get something for nothing. What's your MTN so I can get you disconnected for violation of the terms and conditions of your contract?

I completely agree with you, but is it actually in the T&C that you cant do this? Did they think about this when they were writing the T&C?

I'm not a lawyer, but the newest T&C is over four pages front and back. The VZW lawyers are pretty good at covering everything. On the manual contracts it actually says "VZW is not responsible for acts of god".

(1) you're bragging about how the T&C are over 8 pages of text. you don't know what's in it. if employees (and NOT just you, clearly) think that the T&C are too long and complex to read or at least understand, how can subscribers, most of whom are NOT lawyers be expected to do the same?

(2) if i don't believe in god, does that mean that i can refute whatever verizon denies me because of an "act of god?" does that also give verizon the right to deny subscribers any sort of recourse based on god working in mysterious ways?

Eric, I agree with you on #1.

#2 is a legally accepted term, as in precedence and everything. I don't know how far that claim would fly. But I completely see your point.

(3) One train leaves Los Angeles at 15mph heading for New York. Another train leaves from New York at 20mph heading for Los Angeles on the same track. If a bird, flying at 25mph, leaves from Los Angeles at the same time as the train and flies back and forth between the two trains until they collide, how far will the bird have traveled?

From the last time I thoroughly read the contract (a few weeks ago), i don't recall it being a T.O.S. violation. But it is software piracy, not a big deal for most people. It also voids the warranty since it may not be an "approved" piece of software. Reason being, who knows what may have been added to the programming for the free program.

i agree with the last poster. calm down! Jesus WHO cares if someone gets this service for free. is that the worst thing in the world? let's see we have a endless war, cancer,aids...but no we should crucify this guy for posting a link? i don't think verizon is going to lose any sleep at night if a few find out ways to get things free. besides it's not like they don't rape us money wise in other ways to make up for it. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

I care if he gets that service for free. There is a problem when people steal:

Other customers suffer from an increase in service cost. It happens in all industries from cable tv to clothing.

Less profit means less money to spread to employees... thanks for taking food off the table to feed my family so you can navigate and play tetris for free.

I hope you are not really that naive that you think if VW made even $1.00 extra in profit that they would pass it on to their employees. All corporations look to make a larger profit and if that means cutting back on staff and benefits thats exactly what they do. I believe they call it "right sizing" and the excuse is that it is necessary to keep the company alive. This is code for we need to keep the pockets of the chiefs fat at the expense of the foot soldiers.

My soap box has ended, thanks for listening ๐Ÿ‘ฟ

Just because my piece of the pie isn't as big as the CEOs doesn't mean I don't get a piece of the pie. And although my piece of the pie is small, I don't like people making it smaller by stealing something they can afford to pay for or afford to go without. It's not like they're stealing bread and water to live.

i already posted a message in reguards to this thread but i just read this one....just so you know verizon does not really do layoffs....they may downsize on outsourcers and indirects, but if they are going to downsize a department they give you options to go to another department...sales people get good commision and the employees that work in the call center scene get nice fat bonuses based on how well the company did that year.....i have received a couple of these extra bonuses....people buy cars, put down payments on houses, so i think that you are just being pesimistic....i think that verizon is very fair with its employees, and implying that verizon is "all" corporations is really an ignorant thing to say seeing as how all other compan...

VZW may treat their employees well, but they have instituted new plocies that are really shafting their indirect base. The store I am in sells four times as many phones as we did 4 years ago. However, if we made as much profit now as we did then I would make nearly 175k a year! I understand that as sales go up profits naturally go down...but still.

They will sell phones without contract...full retail...to a consumer for less then they require me to pay for that same phone. In fact Motorola was selling the Razr Maxx for full pop on their site for 280 bucks. Nearly a hundred less then I have to pay for that same phone when buying it from VZW. But I cannot buy that phone from Motorola because they have a deal with VZW that if someone ...

i completelty agree with you and commend you on your honesty there are alot of people in direct sales that will swap the existing line to the secondary and make the new line the primary to make an extra buck....i am the one that has to deal with this when the csr figures it out...i dont work on commision, so i dont know, but i take almost 100 calls a day dealing with every sort of problem and question there is, and most of them are either equipment related or billing related, and my job would be a whole lot easier if not only the sales rep were trying to pull one over on the customer but also if the customers were not always trying to bullshit, and with the exchanging phones thing i have to determine whether or not the customer is seriously ...

They cut pay and raised quotas for direct reps, and like you we just learn to cope with it. 75 cents for an add a line sucks. We make more on selling a $19.99 accessory!

Customers don't care about the people working in the store or about how much money they make on a sale or the inner workings of the company. Customers just want what they want and they don't want to pay lots of money for programs and what not. It is just as much as VZW employees not caring about the customers. They only do so because it's their job. So in the end, people will do what they must to get what they want in a way to save a couple of bucks. Yeah the service is awesome, but that's about it. The phones take forever to come out, the cost of extra services is real high (come on, $15 unlimited internet with Sprint but like $44 something on VZW), give me a break. You think the fat cats upstairs really care about you, the customers, or an...

most of the time i agree with the company because if i owned a business the choices that verizon makes is most of the time logical for a business owner...however when it comes to something like this...if i found a way to get this service for free then i probably would go with it, but i would probably not shout it to the world. who the hell would pay for something that they could get for free with not much effort? even i can not argue with that, but again if you start telling everyone about it then eventually verizon is going to find a way to block it, so you are probably doing yourself a disfavor in announcing it

I usually agree with you man. You have always been helpful. But I feel that dishonesty is dishonesty. If you are circumventing the system to get something for free that you would otherwise have to pay for is dishonest. I don't care if it is even the 99 cent ringback tones. I take a hard line on what is honest and what isn't.

Even though of what I just said, the fact this person was being dishonest isn't what bothers me. It is when people boldly post that they are and how they are doing it.

Although, maybe they should all post how they are doing it so VZW can find fixes for that...

In otherwords, it is bad enough to be dishonest and show very low moral values...it is another to openly brag about it...
