VZW discoing the Kyocera 7135

Last chance to get a lousy piece of junk! Once they're all out of the warehouse, that's it, no more replenishing! 'Bout damn time, too... stupid outdated lousy not-very-smartphone [grumble]...

Just a heads up and a word to the wise. If you have one of these phones you need to upgrade ASAP. VZW is no longer supporting this handset AT ALL! They will not activate or service this phone in any way shape or form. Get a Treo or the 6600 or wait for the Samsung 730.

Midwest will no longer perform an ESN change to a Kyocera 7135. They are not being sold by VZW or by agents. If you buy one on e-Bay, you will simply be told that the phone cannot be activated, just like the old dual-mode phones. You will be spending your money on a very expensive piece of wireless history.

There are a tiny--and I do mean tiny number of exceptions carved out for a few large commercial accounts that invested in several hundred of these devices. They will be permitted to perform ESN changes to swap devices within their own group. But even here, the ESN changes are intended to allow someone to use a "spare" that they have on hand from some other staff member who quit or got fired. VZW will not replace them with anothe...

I have seen us replace them with a Treo600 though. That works out nice for people.

The 7135 is such a funny looking phone though. I had the Samsung i500 which looks exactly like the 7135 but waaaay smaller. I can't imagine lugging that phone around. It seriously was laughable to me when I saw it for the first time.
