LNP BASHING

What is the deal? Why is it that if a port is not done quickly people are acting like this crap is a suprise and its the old carriers fault. This is new to all carriers, suck it up and set the real expectations.Issue some damn credit and call it a day. And another thing. Bashing another company does not sound very good to customers. So many people call and ask to cancel a port because the unprofessional bashing made them change their mind. 🙄

If you read closely you will see that most pepole here explain that you should pick the carrier that works for you. Yes there are a few people that bash other companies, but bashing is stating untrue information about another carrier, if you stick to the facts this is not bashing.

Im not talking about stating what does not work well here or there for one person or the other. Im talking about placing blame on one carrier or another for the slow process of LNP. If you know of 1 company whose port in's and out's are breezing through within 3 hrs let me know because I don't.

I agree, But it was proven that ATT was having serious difficulties porting, more than any other carrier. Or it could that they just had more customers leaving so it was magnified.

ATTWS was definitely having system difficulties, but it had nothing to do with the number of customers leaving. If you think that it was due to how many orders the systems were porting out, it would also be fair to say it was due to an overwhelming response to port in and join ATTWS since they basically go through the same system. I dont feel it was due to either. 😳

When I say magnified I mean customers wanted to complete the port and therefore complained to the FCC about the length of time it took to complete the port.

It does no good to bash any carrier for something that is new to the industry. Issues will ALWAYS come up with everything. People bash Ford, then they buy a Chevrolet which may have MORE problems.

No carrier is perfect! and I mean NO carrier. Once the education of this philosphy is out there, then people will understand that only 6-7 years ago, you HAD to be home to get a call. Then they bashed RICH people for having portable phones, until THEY got one.

LNP is a GREAT thing! People just need to have patience now-a-days and understand the industry changes EVERYDAY. From 6-7 years ago, to now being able to download games, ringtones and applications. C'mon.

The BIGGEST problem with LNP is that your information to the new carrier has to...

😁 In all honesty if a customer is unhappy with ATTWS, Verizon is the carrier I suggest and I will honestly tell customers that.Not to say I dont think other carriers dont have good service but ATTWS and Verizon are comparable in rate plans and call quality. I will admit Verizon does have a larger coverage area but not evryone is a truck driver... J/K. 😎

I agree and my father in law uses att wireless in Saylorsburg PA because it better to use in the Moutains of NE PA. I will suggest another carrier if they offer better service in a particular area, I always tell them pick who is going to give you the best coverage where you use the phone the most.

😡 what i cannot understand is why people would stay w/ a compant period if they do not liike the service .i have friends who work for SPRINT,CINGULAR ,AWS and Verizon.threy speak to so many people who ,"you guys sick " or " i hope you go out of business" really what do these people think. i mean cancel then.yippe your gone maybe if customers would learn to read and add or PAY ATTENTION to whats being said they may not end up w/ huge bills then call customre care to whine and cry.boo hoo.its the customres fault 70 -80 % of the time .suck it up.stop complaining.people in this country as far a consumers have gotten this" customres always right" in their head so much that the mistakes they make are irreleveant they want somethinfore nothing or...
