In the washington dc area, verison wireless is the best for coverage. Can anyone tell me which service would be next? I am thinking of leaving verizon due to their crapy phone selection and i am just plain tired of wondering when a new good attractive phone is coming out.

Cingular would probably be the next. I used to live in Manassas and my best friend uses Cingular he has been with them for 5+ years and would only use Verizon if he decided to leave Cingular. Everyone else has subpar service.

If I have to give you advice on a provider with cool phones it would be T-Mobile or Sprint. But then again Sprint have poor service, multiple drop calls. T-Mobile is a more stable company. Sprint have cooler phones that Tmobile but Tmobile have better service. Though Sprint have cooler phones than Tmobile, Tmobile also have a good lineup of phones. Unlike Verizon, Tmobile are constinly changing to new and better phones go to www.tmobile.com and click products to see some of their phones. Beaware that some of the phones that Tmobile have is not on the website because they keep all the new and recent phones on their site. You can go to a retail store and find other cool phones that's not on their site. But as we all know is that no other cell ...

Every carrier has it flaws, and each carrier works differently in different areas.. For instance, you may get a lot of dropped calls with Sprint were YOU live, but here in Nashville, TN were I live, I rarely ever get a dropped call, and they places were I get them are only in a few certain spots, and I just don't use my phone when I'm going through those very FEW spots. Even VZW dropps in those few spots.. Something is just blocking a signal to those spots.

Well I know that many cell phone companies work differently in certain areas and its hard to give advice to people thats live in different areas than where You or I live. I live in Atlanta Georgia. And I had some bad experiences with Sprint. That was about less than two years ago, they might changed since then. I had Plenty of drop calls and breakups. I definitely can't use them on the inside of most buildings. And I live in the major part of the city where you would not expect all of this happening. All I know that Sprint just wasn't a good service for me. I just tell people my experience with Sprint. I tell them my experience with T-Mobile, Cingular, and Verizon Wireless. I'm not the only one that says Sprint has horrible service, I only j...

I couldn't agree more with "their crapy phone selection and i am just plain tired of wondering when a new good attractive phone is coming out." I'm sick of waiting!! I also hear all of you on the V60....I wish mine would get stolen so I could rid myself of it. It's small and has changable faceplates, that's about the only reason I haven't taken a hammer or my car to it yet. 😈 I wish I could rid myself of Verizon too. But, the fact I'm on a Family Plan and other companies (T-mobile, Sprint, Cingular) have NO service in my area make me keep Verizon for a carrier. I wish they would come out with nice phones and other cool "stuff" like all the other companies. Cingular's Rollover minutes and that adapter you can put your cell phone into ...

You know I don't mean to be rude but this complaining session over the equiptment is a little petty. ITS A PHONE!! Its to make calls, who cares what is does. Yes its nice to have the fancy features, but when it comes down to it, its just a phone. You complain that Verizon is the only carrier in your area, Shouldn't that tell you something. That all these other companies offering everything under the sun to get you to switch, aren't worth crap. I would rather have a phone that works when and where i need it to, rather then blink pretty colors, or take pictures.

hahaha

yeah i agree

i would like a cool phone, but for now i have my kyocera 3035 heh it gets the job done.

verizon1... do you know if they are working on any phones smaller than the palm style phones that implement usb conncectivity.. i mean if i have a 4pin to 6pin cable or somethign i can just plug my phone right in... this would probably eliminate the need for those expensive data cables its a pain to carry a phoen and a palm, hopefully the new high res screens will allow smaller phones to be able to display enough information as a palm does (or close to it)

My brother has that same phone...the Kyocera 3035. He's been through about 7 of them for many different problems. The hands-free jack breaks, volume goes nuts, software issues, among others. When he first got it he literally was going through one every week or two because they were all defective.

hey aeroguy426 ::::

did your bro find the problem where you can select the (i) information option on the menus??

and if you select the info option under the menu display type category it makes the phones display blank so you cant use the damn phone

i called up kyocera about it and they told me that since the numbers that have found that problem are under a certain amount they wont bother fixing the problem.

and they could replicate it on thier phones...
that made me angry they wouldnt do anything so i went through about 15 phones the following week right at the verizon store in front of the tech guys.

they were getting mad hahaha
serves 'em right...

Maybe if cell phone companies would keep it simple we would have kept it simple as customers too. It's not our fault they have introduced all these new plans and add-ons that can jack your bill well into hundreds of dollars per month merely for a "cell phone." With the introduction of the America's Choice Plan, Get It Now, a billion and a half minutes per month, Unlimited Nights/Weekends, camera phones, text and picture messaging...it all doesn't come free. Many people get rid of their land line phone entirely and have a ton of features on their cell phone. I can complain all I want for a cell phone service I pay $90 a month for without even having any extras! I pay per text message, per Get It Now download, and I have no insurance an any of...

Well in response to that, its your own problem for making yourself so dependent on a cell phone. And the services that you mentioned, ie, txt msg, get it now, and so on- of course the txt is pay per use. Find me a cell company with free txt messaging. And insurance is avilable on all three of your phones. its 3.99 a month. Nothing in this world is free, so get over it. You pay for you house and car insurance don't you, so why should your cell phone be any different. You can complain all you want but when it comes down to it, its still a phone, so live with it

I am well aware of how much all of the services such as insurance, unlimited text messaging, and other services are. If I had no idea what I was talking about I would have certainly never written anything on this site. I'm also well aware text messaging is not free for any company, but through Cingular extra family plan lines are only $10 a month compared to $20 at Verizon. My entire family has been with Verizon for many years, and overall we have been happy with them, certainly better than the other local carrier...Cellular One. But lately I have heard others complain in my area about Verizon. The issues, however, are not that big of a deal. For example, Verizon has magically added 200 text messages to my bill without consent, they add all ...

Must be a high paying job you have. The best thing you have to show for your long hours of working is a camera phone. Tooooooooooooo Fuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnnyyyyy. Us "old" people have cameras, Maseratis, girlfriends, alligator shoes, girlfriends, and cool phones like the 530. I'd get a camera phone, but I can't afford the extra $4.99 a month that Verizon charges to do all the extra things. Maybe if I could go to work for your company. Any openings?
Could you please repeat all the reasons we should all go out and get a camera phone. There was the one reason of taking pictures of license plates. Duh! whatever for????????? Weird, to say the least. Do you wear your phone around your neck so everyone can see it? or do you just take it out and flas...
