So you are bitching because you don't comprehend that 22 months does not equal 2 years?
You guys should be nicer. He didn't know. It's New Every TWO, not New Every TWENTY-TWO.
Can you blame someone for thinking it would be an upgrade at their 2 year date, aka, end of their contract?
When can I upgrade does not mean when can I cancel.
Sometimes people renew their contract within the 2 yr term and it can be more then a 2 month difference between Upgrade can Contract End Date.
So your mad at the company b/c YOU ASSUMED your eligible equipment upgrade date was your CED! Gee I dont think it could have been spelled out any cleared for,.. PHONE UPGRADE DATE...You know what is said about assuming right!?!?!?!??
this is just a PSA for the two of us on phonescoop who dont know anything about upgrade policys

You will have to excuse the ones with inferiority complexes who think they are important and all knowing because they work for Verizon...see now I understood what you said, and if you would have ported your number over you would have been hit with an ETF, and you would have found out when you got your bill. Just remember, they don't know how to present arguments that are clear or concise, or near the subject matter.
Thanks. I'm glad someone can see that I wasn't bashing Verizon. It was my mistake. I wasn't angry or upset. I was a little disappointed because I thought my wait was soon over, but that's no big deal. I'm just glad I found out before getting hit with the ETF on two lines!...

Also, here in the Verizon forum, we are so grateful for folks like schlittertex to make sure VZW is always on the up and up. If it weren't for schlittertex, the whole company would fall apart.
Here, for anyone interested, is a line to the VZW NE2 info:

Hah, your post are just as bad. If this guy praised VZW instead of saying he was going to Cingular... you would have "deficated" on him. Your post are the same rants on the UI or OBEX that everyone else has heard before because you have no other argument and when you have no...

I almost made a very costly mistake. I am planning to switch from Verizon to Cingular as soon as my contract expires (no flames please....I have good reasons). Anyhow, I have been monitoring my Verizon account on line for several months now, and it shows how much time is left before I can use my “New Every Two” and upgrade my phone. I assumed that date was also the end of contract date….WRONG!! I have been anxiously waiting for that date (December 10th) so I can switch to Cingular and get a new phone. A little voice in my head told me I should call Verizon just to be sure. Turns out, that upgrade date is two freakin’ months before the contract expires!! If I would have gone in to a Cingular store and

While true, that wasn't his point. His point is don't use your phone upgrade date to determine when your contract is up b/c they do not coincide.
Exactly. Thank you. I wish more people would actually READ my original post instead of assuming that I'm bashing VZW. I happen to like VZW very much. Many people on here are in such a hurry to jump all over anyone who complains about anything, that they aren't even reading the entire post. 🙄
Obviously if you end a contract two months early, you should be expected to pay the ETF. The problem was that I thought the upgrade date was the contract date. I was only trying to warn others who might think the same thing. I never said Verizon di...
