Wow I didn't remember the article correctly I just thought it was rugged and water-resistant. I can't wait to own this phone as an avid hiker in the Seattle area this will be a perfect fit for me. I have ruined many phones during my outdoor activities so to have something that they are claiming as WATERPROOF is just amazing. I can't wait to test this phone, you think they will put a water sticker on this one? 🤨 I'm going to stand in the rain with this thing and let it float around in my hot tube, what do you think? 😉

maybe they put some sort of ultra tight water seal on it?? I dont know i didnt design it. but who cares it is waterproof!

I am kinda skeptical of the waterproof claim as well. I will have to see it to believe it. but as for charging it, from the pic I saw it looked like it will charge like a cordless phone does. it looked to me like it had two contacts that were visible on the battery to charge it?

If it has any exposed conduits they can corrode though. I dunno. I'd expect it to have a rubber plug that they require you to have in a hole when not charging. Oh well. I guess this is why I don't make phones.

I think you are correct about the way it will charge, after taking a closer look at the clear pictures it looks like that would be the only reasonable solution. The contacts seem to be very recessed.
I just love the watch mode, 2-megapixel camera, and EVDO high-speed that is all I need. If I had seen one more puck looking music phone I was ready to kill!!! 😛

Subjective opinion and everyone is welcome to it. I can see that the sleek and sexy-type crowd would hate this but I kinda dig it. It has a very rugged look that I think works. Then again, that's just my take. I do think that cell phone have been 'sleeked' to death and have almost eliminted personality in design. I think the cell phone makers should make all kinds of phone that I hate, design-wise, simply because it's just look alike stuff and all you can do is put a colored case on it and a willpaper....ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

yeah i agree. i dont particularly like the phone design, but with all flip phones looking nearly identical to each other, i welcome the change. the sleekness is great but the "coolness" of phones like the razr, in my opinion, has faded.
