I need some advice from you experts; I'm looking for a phone that's great for texting and has superior voice quality. I don't do well on the number pad at all, it takes me awhile to get through a statement. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, Thanks!!

I use a Lg 9800 and I love it. I couldn't go back to a phone with out the Qwerty.

LG 8300 has a great keypad for use with T9...qwerty isn't really any faster, and the phones are usually a little bigger...just my 2 cents.

I really appreciate your input, I've tried the t9 and I just can't get the hang of it for some reason. I think I may try a pda with a keyboard or wait for the 9900 to come out.

I'd wait for the 9900, i've been using the 9800 and even though its a little big I love it. The only thing I would trade it for is possibly the 9900 when it comes out.

If you just need the QWERTY than the 9800 or 9900. But if you are interested in the PDA side, the Motorola Q is an awesome phone. I probably will get it soon.

on the 8300 it's not T9 anymore... it's "WORD" what's' the dif?? i know you can now teach it words. anything else who designed the program it's so similar to T9 you'd think it was the same software just an update. Will "WORD" be on new phones instead of T9? Just curious it works great

It might be just me but when I played with a 9800 at the Verizon store, I didnt like the angle it opens at (either flat or a right angle)

It all depends what else you want the phn for BUT for texting I like the LG 9800 since it has the full keyboard, is pretty neat , the LG 9900 which is lighter (that is one major complaint of the 9800, the heaviness), is supposed to come out soon

With predictive text on the E815 I could text almost as fast as someone with the 9800. But I would recommend the 9800. The Q is a buggy phone.

Thanks everyone for your help!!! I really do appreciate it. I went out Saturday and bought the Q, and as of right now I LOVE IT!!! I still have 15 days, hopefully the 9900 will come out before my 15 days are up and I can demo that one also.

Not to put a damper on your hopes. but I seriously doubt the 9900 will come out before your days are up ☚ī¸ as of now, I haven't seen a single person who has an "accurate" date. Like for example with the chocolate they were advertising a little while before it came out. Hope you enjoy the Q! 🙂
