Can anyone help me decide. I like that the razr is small. I really like that with the samsung you can make and answer calls with the phone closed using the speaker. I am not sure about the black though. Thanks for any input!!

I have to agreee with the others. I've had the Razr, and HATED it within a week. The LG8300 is Verizon's best in just about every way.

I can tell you from personal experience that the Samsung a930 is a nice phone however the black material looks and feels a little on the cheap side... other than that, it is a pretty good phone.. Having owned the RAZR,a930, and LG 8300 I can definitely say that the best phone IMO is the LG 8300

The LG 8300 is Verizon's best phone right now for so many reasons.

This is my first LG phone and I'm very impressed. Stereo Bluetooth,Stereo Speakers, megapixel camera w/ flash,EVDO,microSD memory,V Cast,VZ Navigator, mp3 support, new flash customizable user interface...

I'm telling you its a very good phone! IMO

However, if you'd like to wait a bit the Samsung a990 is said to be released soon... it bolsts a 3.2 megapixel camera with swiv...

You can also talk on the RAZR speakerphone with the phone closed.

The RAZR is not a bad phone and neither is the A930. I sell both of these regularly and have hardly any problems.

I agree the 8300 is an excellent phone, but it certainly is not superior to the other 2 by any means.

yes it is the razr is pos moto, and the 930 takes ten steps back and feels and looks cheap, plus both still have the commie UI

8300 is SUPERIOR and sounds better than both those phones.

I agree, the 8300 IS BETTER!

It has stereo bluetooth (not found in a930), flash customizable UI (also not found), OLED external color display, and mp3 support without all the hacking that is needed on the a930... and having owned both I can say the 8300 has better RF reception

You have very good valid points. What hacking do you need on the A930 for MP3 support? How many of the A930 and 8300 have you owned in the month that they have been available? Do you think that in your experience you mave have received a defective A930 with poor RF?

And as far as the RAZR's RF, I have had more customers happy with their RAZR's than any other phone I have ever sold.

actually Ive owned an a930 and an 8300...

The signal on the a930 is good... I simply meant that the 8300 seems to have better signal...

I've owned a couple RAZRs and they ARE good phones... I was only comparing RF between a930 and 8300...

To answer your question about the hacking...
In order to enable mp3s and to play mp3s on the a930, you have to do the following each time:

-Go to the MENU
-Go to Settings and tools
-Press #
-Enter all 0's

-at this menu, press 0 again
-enter the following passcode 8886573982
-scroll down and select MP3

it will now look for mp3 files on your card... you need to reformat your card if you've already used it and make sure you put your music in "my mp3" folder...

Commie UI eh? I think you are a little one-sided considering you just hate Motorola. My guess is that you hate Samsung as well which is not a valid point.

actually my last four phone all been motorolas..v710, e815, razr, 325, all usable but motto junk compared to the LG 8300. The 8300 is just that good. If you sell verizon you should already know how outstanding the 8300 is, and that it offers more. Build quality alone is enough reason to buy it. The ear piece volume and reception on this bad boy is off the hook amazing. Anyways to the OP buy what you want, I just jumped in because this is an exceptionally great phone.

Why does everyone hate Samsung? VZ reps in my area and on the phone keep pushing it over moto and lg.

Can you use the speakerphone with the phone closed on the 8300?
Can you answer and make calls with the phone closed using spear?

I have the a930. My gf has the v3m. I've looked at the 8300...I think it depends on what you want overall.

I mean, thin = razr. That's the main reason why my gf got it. I didn't get it cause it's a Motorola...razr. I've heard of tons of problems with the v3c. Now that being said, the v3m is a lot faster, and not as many problems.

The a930, I like it so far. It's not thin, but there's a few more thing on there. I can play mp3's now, get custom ringtones...i don't think the razr can do it...or at least no one figured it out yet. Plus, the memory card slot is very easy on the a930. The razr...not so easy to put in and take out.

The 8300...it's nice, but external antenna, and it's the same style as all the other phones out the...
